Here's my latest circumstance:
I am trying to sell my house because I have to relocate for a new job. As we all know we are in a foreclosure crisis & it's not easy trying to sell a full-price home.
I am getting to a point where I am going to have to sell my house for below market value & will have to pay out of pocket w/ my mortgage and 2nd mortgage.
I called their "Loss Mitigation" Department, which is supposed to help you to troubleshoot ways to keep your payments coming but in methods you can afford. I figured that they would be willing to work with me...boy was I wrong. I was told that they would not work with me unless I was 3 months delinquent, filing for bankruptcy or in default. They don't care if you are current. I asked the gentleman some questions and he was so insulting...he took personal shots on me during the phone call & started yelling at me to the point that I couldn't talk to him anymore. I gave the phone to my wife, who was as nice as can be with the gentleman and he started in on her and made her cry. I then told him that I am just going to stop paying like a lot of people across the country are with them, and he told me that they would take me to court. After all of this, I asked for his full name so I could file a complaint against him...he told me to "go to ***" and hung up. I called back and got the moron's name and wrote a complaint letter to his executive vice president.
Citifinancial...you wonder why you recently posted a multi-billion dollar loss...it isn't because of the housing crisis. It is your service which has caused the housing crisis! 12907c8

| 3. Written by sic2bamerican on October 10, 2008 from sacramento, california, US Don't call them, you will be sorry you did. They are liars, thieves, and gov backed white collar criminals. Insured for 20+ years w/ 21st Century Insurance who withheld pmnt for 9 mos. Car rental (Enterprise) on Amex Exp who withdrew approval while rental was demanded to be returned...then, collections harrassment was handled by a call to Citi Mortgage asking if I could pay 1/2 then 1/2 in 10 days to pay off Amex Exp and they were SO HAPPY to help. Great credit, 30 years in house etc....BUT, they can't give 30 day extention UNLESS U R LATE!!! What a ruse, the next nearly two months faxes & calls and delays led to "YOU ARE IN FORCLOSURE" and nothing can be done, too late etc. etc. (another lie) I had made the two payments because I was suspicious and with good reason. It was all a trick to wrest away my 30 yr 6% loan that I was perfectly happy with. Then working with unlicensed broker and you guessed it, I am now a poster child for fraudulent loan. This could never have happened without several bankiing, mortgage, credit, and gov oversite that no longer bothers to pretend. Alll the back scratching and hand washing can be explained away any way they like, I know exactly how it went! Oh yeah, did they with hold the payments, you bet, and then reported the payments late to validate the entire scheme. Consider prepayment penalty, payment of a 6,000 consumer loan to Citibank, pay off of Home Depot, American Express, Macys and Sears, plus whatever else they wanted to throw in and it's all over but the cryin'. If you want to know who Citi thiniks they are, I'll say this; I know who they are! They are the owners of Enterprise Car Rental, 21st Century Ins., Amer Exp, Sears, Home Depot, Macys and Citibank!! Throw in Washingtoin Mutual (my bank, who refused to stop the auto payment of $450.00 to Sears that they pressed for a month in advance, then PAID AFTER I closed the account) and AIG who carries my homeowners but kept quiet while Citi added on some more insurance of their own....I guess that makes Citigroup ALL THAT & A BAG OF CHIPS!!! They own the F'n world and all the back pockets in it!! |
| 4. Written by laprns on August 2, 2008 from -, -, US The loss they reported is fabricated. They don't post payments received and therefore show losses on their books illegally. I made my payment of the 14th-it is due on the 13th. I received my "statement" in the mail just now (Aug 2) and it is dated July 24. The july 14 payment is not on there so I am "behind". Therefore my payment went completely to interest and not applied to the balance. |
